Keychains

My Mother-in-Law asked me if I could make keychains for her to give to her coworkers for the holidays so I made 15! I love all the different fabric combinations!  What an assortment!
This was actually a paid project for me! Woo-hoo!

Pink/Black Set

One of my friends asked me to make her several things in this certain pink/black patterned fabric.  It was so much fun and I hope she likes it.

Jewelry Rolls

I have so many great necklaces from Lia Sophia.  Most of them are long and beaded or something and I don't really have a good way to travel with them.  My current travel jewelry case can't hold them.  So...I changed up my crayon roll a little, added some ribbons to hold the necklaces and here it is! I think I'm going to love it!
I also made one for a good friend.  She still has to keep all hers in boxes because she doesn't really have a jewelry box/holder or anything.  Plus now, she can travel with them easier too!

Burp Cloth Gift Set

I made this burp cloth gift set for a special friend's new baby girl.  Actually, it's one of my sister's good friends and she asked me to make it for her to give.  That was fun and I even changed the way I made them a little and they turned out so much better than others I have made! I love the combination of fabric too.

More Crayon Rolls

I am on a Crayon roll frenzy right now! I love making them and they seriously take less than 30 minutes each.  I made a couple to surprise my girls with on our holiday trip home, a couple for our relative's boys for Christmas and more for other friends too.  So fun and fabric choices are endless!

Eyeglass Frame Roll

I adapted my crayon rolls to make a roll for my mom's interchangeable eyeglass frames.  I didn't have the frames on hand, only measurements so I hope it works out.  I am going to make one for a friend of hers too.
The comb as just to show where the pockets are and the size too.

These are the ones I made for my sister and my mom's friend.

Tote Bag & Keychain

I made this tote bag and keychain for a raffle prize at my church for our Women's group.  I actually loved the way it turned out.  I have to say it's almost perfect and I think it's because it was a no pressure deal.  No one knew I was making it.  If it turned out ok I would give it away.  It's when someone asks me to do something that I think I feel more pressure for there to be no mess ups or glitches! It has yet to be raffled so I'm anxiously awaiting to see who gets it and what they think!

and More Reusable Bags!

My sister asked me to make some snack bags for my niece's gymnastics team.  They break for a snack in their session so she thought it'd be fun for them to use.  I had her pick out all the fabric and supplies, she chose according their colors.  They are really fun.  I had some disappointing run ins with the fabric and sewing machine at times but they still turned out cute!

5 Loaves and 2 Fish

My mom recently asked me if I'd Google a tutorial on making loaves and fish so she could have something tangible when telling the Bible story to the young children in her Sunday School class.  I looked and couldn't find anything and then thought I could just easily make them myself!  After I finished them my husband asked me if they were potatoes.  Well, I guess they do look a little like potatoes.  I planned to add a little embellishment across the top or something like a loaf of sourdough bread does, but figured I'd let my also crafty mom do that if she feels like they need more.  I didn't want to make them worse!

More Reusable Bags

This is the lot of reusable bags that I made and sent to my sister and her 2 girls.  Her girls are in school and thought they would benefit from using some very cute and eco-friendly snack bags.

Crayon Roll with book

One of our really good friends, Ryder, that the girls love to play with, just had his 2nd birthday and I made him a crayon roll and added a spot for a booklet too.  That way you can always have paper on hand for the times you go places and they don't have tablecloths for you to color on! :)  Ryder's mom and dad both are in the band at church along with my husband so I thought guitar fabric was appropriate.

Reusable Snack Bags

As I look through tutorials I usually find more and more of things I'd like to make and this is one of those things.  I mostly use them for myself right now instead of my kids because they still benefit from the snack cup.  However, I think my mom could use one to take snacks to work in, and my sisters too.  Also, my nieces are both in school now and have to take snacks and what a great thing to use.  Environmentally friendly, cutting down on the use of plastic bags.  Just throw it in the wash! I used cotton fabric, rip-stop nylon and velcro.  That's it!  You definitely need more than one so that when you are washing them you have more to use!  I have only made these 2 but have a long list of ones to make and different sizes too!  I love getting mine out when I'm out with the kids.  It's fun to use and shows a little personality too!

No Slip Bookmarks

I've been wanting to make these for a while now but still needed to go out and buy some buttons big enough to pull them off.  My very special Meemaw passed away about 3 weeks ago and I had the idea for everyone to pick out a button from her collection and I would make them with those.  That way everyone has a little memento of Meemaw that we can carry around with us.  As if we need anything but our memories, we have a lot of those we are carrying around now.  She was such a special person to me and a huge influence in my life.

Baby Doll Blanket #2

Here is the second doll blanket I made for the girls.  They are having so much fun with them.  I definitely had to hurry up and make the second.  You can't just have 1 of something like this or they really fight over it!

Baby Doll Blanket #1

My girls are always trying desperately to wrap their little baby dolls in their huge blankets so I thought it was time to make some for them that fit those little baby dolls.  I added Velcro too because they always get frustrated when the blanket won't stay on!  They were sleeping with their babies when I took this picture so I had to improvise with their bear.

Sewing Machine Cover

I was getting really bored of my old sewing machine cover so I decided to make a new one.  The old one was one of my first sewing projects ever so it needed to be redone anyway.  While we were on vacation this summer our cats ruined our Crate & Barrel bedspread and the only thing we could salvage was the pillow shams.  I knew I shouldn't just throw them out so I turned one of them into a new cover for my sewing machine! I was wanting quilted fabric, but it's about $17 a yard so this was a great recycle for me!

Ruffle Shirt

My friend, Megan and I are always walking through stores saying how "we could make that".  This is one of those things.  I found 2 inexpensive shirts @ Gordman's while I was in Oklahoma and decided to try it.  It was SO EASY!  I really like the way it turned out and it's pretty cute on too!

Crayon Roll

Here are some photos of the Crayon Roll I made.  So fun, quick and easy! This one is going to be a birthday gift for a little boy but I've already starting thinking of who else might need one!?
I was thinking how nice it would be to have on hand when you go to restaurants or in the car too!

Lainey's Blanket

I finally finished Lainey's T-shirt/onesie blanket.  It started out easier than Kami's but it ended up being a lot harder to finish toward the end.  However, I am glad it's done!

Tote Bag

One of my sister's friends found a scrap of fabric and I made her a tote out of it.  I had a lot of hiccups on some of my very last stitches, but I think it turned out alright for the most part.

Keychains

I found a tutorial for these keychains and thought it would be a simple craft.  I was right! And they are so quick to make.  If you have any scraps lying around, you probably have enough to make these!

T-shirt/Onesie Baby Blanket

This is just one blanket I have done.  I still have to do one for my other daughter.  Everyone is making T-shirt quilts now and I thought this would be a great way to save some of my girls' special shirts instead of just having them hidden in a box somewhere and never seeing them.  T-shirt material is VERY unforgiving while sewing on the machine.  I had a really tough time so I'm not really looking forward to making the second one to say the least.  I stitched all pieces together first, then added interfacing and backing.  I chose not to do a bias tape edge since it would hide a lot of the cute designs on the shirts.

Burp Cloths & Wipes Case

Another set of burp cloths and wipes case that I made for a baby gift for a little boy.

Updated Toddler Purse

This purse is a little different and updated from the previous Toddler Purse post.  I made this one for my 3 year old niece and I thought she'd need some way to close it.  I just sewed the tie to the outside of the finished purse and added buttons for embellishment and to also cover the stitches.  I also added a little Okie Girl tag for advertising!
